I added background elements to this tiny masterpiece. I like the way the black frame weights the composition, picking up details in the pears. I also added more texture to the wall, and folds of fabric. The thin blue line on the frame tells us this is a mirror and makes the pears pop. A lot of info is packed in this 5 x 7 inches. I love this painting and found it hard to give up. Fortunately, it went to a local patron and I'll be able to see it again. Thank you Susan!
